Visit by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, HE Algirdas Brazauskas, visited the European Central Bank (ECB) today. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Zigmantas Balčytis, Minister of Finance of Lithuania, Reinoldijus Šarkinas, Governor of Lietuvos Bankas, HE Rytis Martikonis, Ambassador of Lithuania to the European Union, and HE Evaldas Ignatavičius, Ambassador of Lithuania to Germany.
The Prime Minister and the delegation met Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the ECB, and Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, Member of the Executive Board of the ECB, for an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
