Public consultation on draft recast Regulation on investment fund statistics

The European Central Bank (ECB) has adopted a new Regulation on investment fund statistics (ECB/2024/17), published on 12 July 2024. The new Regulation is a recast of Regulation (EU) No 1073/2013 of the European Central Bank of 18 October 2013 concerning statistics on the assets and liabilities of investment funds (recast) (ECB/2013/38).

The primary purpose of investment fund statistics is to provide policymakers with a comprehensive and timely picture of developments in the investment fund sector in the euro area. This recast Regulation introduces new reporting requirements that allow enhanced analysis of these developments.

31 responses were received from interested parties during the public consultation on the draft Regulation, which was held from 18 December 2023 to 12 February 2024, and these have been taken into consideration in the new recast Regulation.
