- A joint conference of the European Central Bank and the European Commission
Financial integration and stability in a new financial architecture
Frankfurt am Main, Monday, 28 April 2014 - from 9.00 a.m. to 16.30 p.m.
This year’s joint ECB / EU Commission conference on financial integration and stability will focus on the implications of the new financial architecture for financial integration and stability in European financial markets.
The ECB Vice-President, Vítor Constâncio and the European Commissioner for Internal Market and Services, Michel Barnier, will give key note speeches and share their insights on the new regulatory architecture, including the SSM and the SRM, analysing what it means from the financial integration perspective.
In two high-level panels, a selected group of key policy-makers, financial market leaders and academics will discuss financial integration after the experience of the financial crisis (in the EU and on a global level) as well as the future banking landscape in the EU.
Finally, the ECB’s and the EU Commission’s latest policy reports on financial stability and integration, respectively the 2014 Report on Financial Integration in Europe and the 2013 European Financial Stability and Integration Report, will be presented at the conference.
