Publication of the indicative calendar for the Eurosystem’s tender operations in 2006

The European Central Bank (ECB) is today publishing the indicative calendar for the Eurosystem’s tender operations in 2006 (see the document attached).

The indicative calendar is prepared in line with the procedures set out in the “The implementation of monetary policy in the euro area: General documentation on Eurosystem monetary policy instruments and procedures” (February 2005). In compiling this calendar the ECB tries to ensure that counterparties in all euro area countries can participate in the main and longer-term refinancing operations. The calendar therefore takes account of national public holidays in the various euro area countries.
