New Director Communications

The Executive Board of the European Central Bank has appointed Mrs Elisabeth Ardaillon-Poirier, Executive Director of Press and Communications at the Banque de France since 1994, as Director Communications at the European Central Bank from 1 November 2003.

Mrs Ardaillon-Poirier will succeed Manfred J. Körber, who has held this position since August 1998. Mr Körber will retire, at his own request, on 31 October 2003.
