International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen to be awarded to the euro
Today, Prof. Dr. Walter Eversheim, Spokesman of the Board of Directors of the Society for the Conferring of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen, and Dr. Jürgen Linden, Lord Mayor of Aachen, officially offered Dr. Willem F. Duisenberg, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen for the euro.
As President of the ECB, Dr. Duisenberg will receive this award on behalf of the euro.
