De Ierse regering heeft besloten om voor alle Ierse euromunten één ontwerp te gebruiken. De munten tonen een Keltische harp, een traditioneel symbool van Ierland, met daarbij het jaar van uitgifte en het woord “Éire”, de Ierse naam voor Ierland. Het ontwerp van de harp is van Jarlath Hayes.
